  First of all, around 5-6 years ago, my husband and I went to her for a good check up since we believed something was wrong on my cervix area ( a big bump). She checked and said everything was fine. During my bed rest pregnancy I had a cerclage around 2.5-3 months into the pregnancy, at Winnie Palmer which ended up taking longer since they found a pretty big mass in the area and weren't able to do the cerclage without surgical removal of it. With the Palmer doctors ( Not Dr. Kareem) description, its highly upsetting she didn't find it hersel earlier, specially since we told her to please serioisly check! Made us sound as if we , specially my husband back then, didn't know what he was talking about and she knew better. My labor was a 30 hrs nightmare and unfortunately her office just send whoever is on call that day. She came next day to see me with the most un professional attitude I have ever seeing in a doctor, terrible bed side manners . Trying to even scold me based on nurses gossip I never understood well, since it didn't make much sense. I went there on my Labor Day with serious contractions and was trying to walk them off as every woman does ( besides I was almost 40 and already with a 10 years old daughter, therefore I was no newbie at giving birth!) so it was as if my feeling of walking and going for it was wrong? No one even tell me not to, so what was that about?. Either that or she was reacting at my husbands complains Over the inept other doctor attending me that day and calling her office requesting her to come over. I don't know what her deal was, but I went thru hell and back during my labor, even suffered from a scary seizure as a reaction to the Epidural and she come see me with attitude? Totally rude. To complete the nonsense, 3 months after delivery I went to her office to have her Recomended ESSURE procedure. I reminded them I only had ONE ovary, and even joked about Having them charged me half the price since I only needed one ESSURE implanted. Once laying down for the procedure I said it again. Then I felt extremely dizzy during the anesthesia she injected on me. I wonder if she even had the decency and professionalism to check what exactly was I given At the hospital during the Epidural , so that she was more careful about the anesthesia she would use? I bet she didn't. Well, 2-3 years of hell and excruciating pain, Dr. Maccarus in Dr.Philips hospital gave me the results of an MRI which showed, Dr. Kareem implanted 2 ESSURE coils instead of 1!!!! The ESSURE had as a contraindication , to not be given if only one Fallopian tube was present!!! Why not respect that? $$?? She implanted and stuck one of the coils inside my UTERUS ( creating a nightmare of pain and endometriosis) and the other one was properly put inside the one and only Fallopian tube. They contain nickel, I wonder if she even checked for any possible allergies to it? I went back to her office complaining of serious pain around a month or so after the implantation and was told everything was fine!! Long story short, I had no other choice than to end up with a Hysterectomy at 40!! I'm still overwhelmed on how Highly careless and unprofessional she was with me, totally uncalled for . I have been dealing with OBGYNs since I'm 15 years old due to the surgical removal of my right side ovary, which Dr. Kareem was informed since I always tell every single doctor I visit! Never once imagined she would treat me that way after 30 hours of delivery and a whole bed rest pregnancy ( highly emotional). The labor side effects was messy as hell, I couldn't even control urine afterwards for weeks and the backpains were excruciating. She only came once to see me after delivery, couple minutes ,sat down , scolded me and left. I'm glad the Winnie Palmer high risk pregnancy doctors were amazing during my pregnancy. Her office apparently had issues charging my insurances back at that time, so they are still charging me that procedure from hell. I'm still paying the hysterectomy and won't pay for their neglect!. So Ethically wrong !!
